artist statement

I am interested in the ways that movement and visual/sculptural construction tools like pens, paper, paint, glitter glue, miniature power ranger toys, clay, color combinations etc., can describe realities and fantasies that are just outside what is tangible.    

In movement practice, I am curious about liquid qualities; gliding, shaping, and pushing through space; syncopation of rhythm in repetitive motion; cause and effect relationships between movements or bodies; gestural movements; and sequential articulation. I am interested in the ways everyday actions can become abstracted to allow them to take new form.
