Nina Guevara is a dancer and visual artist, born and raised in San Francisco, California. She graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts with a Dance BFA in 2020 and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Nina has performed in works created by Isaac Pool, Jessie Young, Mia Martelli, Noa Rui-Piin Weiss, Stephanie Acosta, and Jo Warren. In July of 2024, she performed a self-developed solo in an evening of music and dance organized by Mikah Baumrin-Daniels and Chaia (Kleztronica) at the Headlong Performance Institute. Nina has been cultivating her mixed media sculpture practice at the Art Students League of New York since January of 2024 under the mentorship of Bruce Dorfman. Through her art practice, Nina manipulates craft and found materials to describe the movement of fear, anger, grief and joy through the body.
